When Union Square calls a snow day we go down there and make a show of it.

It is customary to build as many as can be tolerated by physical stamina and society.

Placed directly in the commuter path, incredibly, these Snowdecahedrons lasted well into the night before being destroyed by park maintenance personel.

The DeCordova Sculpture Park commissioned a Snowdecahedron installation. It was canceled the first year due to lack of snow and almost didn't happen the second due to a blizzard. The conditions were a little blustery, but art prevailed. 

We had a good turn out at the DeCordova despite the inclement weather. Some people we more prepaired than others.

A healthy volunteer is needed inside the large mold to pack the snow. 

Only the best snow should be used. Sometimes this means bringing snow from drifts that are embarrassingly far away.

Months later, some small hints at the esoteric geometery can still be seen in the melting forms.
